The National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland (NBPR) admitted Nokian Tyres’ trademark “Hakkapeliitta” to its List of Trademarks with a Reputation. So far 42 trademarks have been admitted to the list. Admission to the list requires substantial evidence of trademark’s awareness in Finland. The list is public and it helps to avoid trademark disputes.
Trademarks are very valuable assets for our company. The admission of Hakkapeliitta to the List of Trademarks with a Reputation prevents misuse and strengthens our position as Hakkapeliitta brand builder in Finland, states Kim Gran, the CEO of Nokian Tyres plc.
